Carole (and Midnight Louie) will be on a live online chat group at 9 P.M. Eastern Time Tuesday, May 3, at www.writerspace.com/chat/readers. Just go there, enter a "nickname" of your choice and the color type you'd like to use. (Ours will be "Midnight blue.") The chat features Berkley Prime Crime authors. Louie and I are participating because we had a short story in Berkley's DEATH DINES IN, an anthology out in paperback in May that revolved around deadly dinners and featured a recipe with each story. (Louie shared his family recipe for Kitty Litter Cake.)
The Midnight Louie story, "License to Koi," featured afishionado Louie finding a killer at a celebrity charity dinner in Las Vegas featuring fugu, the deadly blowfish that is a gourmet treat and the perfect recipe for murder in the spotlight. The story won the First Place Muse Medallion in the Cat Writers' Association awards in November, 2004.
